1 TAFE NSW Higher education Degrees done differently

2 I hear and I forget I see and I remember I do and I understand
Confucius c 520 BC We all hear that there are three different ways of learning, visual, auditory and kinaesthetic. Can I try a small test on you all. When your recall something is it easiest to remember, face, experiences or names. ? Hands up… No doubt you are all aware that we remember: 10% of what we see, 30-40% of what we see and hear and 90% of what we see, hear and do. Is it coincidental that only 30% of students who study after leaving school go to university.

3 Our Courses TAFE NSW Degree graduates are work ready!
You will develop practical skills as well as current industry knowledge. Teachers have current industry experience. Industry relevant assessment activities. Recognition for relevant studies already completed. TAFE NSW Degree graduates are work ready! TAFE NSW So what does applied teaching and learning look like: Imagine going into a classroom with only 25 students, no need for lecture theatres, you sit with the teacher, you are missed when you are not there, you are asked if you are having trouble, you are asked to engage in class discussions, you workshop concepts and search for practical solutions. You have industry experts speak with you, industry experts teach you, and real industry experience in every degree, not just for the special few. You work on real problems to find real solutions for the real world. And you feel confident that you will get employed once you have finished your course.
