Policy of supporting neither side of a war.

Spreading of ideas to promote a cause (such as a war effort)

War that requires all the resources and people of one country be involved in the war effort.

Selective Service Act: Required all young men to apply for military service, if selected you must go to war.

To kill suddenly or secretively, especially a  politically prominent person.
The assassination of a political leader was one of the main causes of WWI.

A final set of demands

To prepare your military forces to go to war.

A deadlock in which neither side is able to defeat the other.

Groups of merchant ships protected by military ships or vehicles.

Horrible acts committed during war on innocent people.

Payment for war damages, using the losing side has to pay this.
