The Business Innovation Center of Lhoist, based in Nivelles (Belgium), is a group of approximately 70 people with 13 nationalities and structured primarily by industrial application including:
a Laboratory,
a R&D team,
a Strategic Marketing team,
a Marketing Intelligence team,

You are a young High Potential PhD looking for an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, please come and join us!
Function:
Develop customized products in variety of applications (more specifically for environmental applications with pilot tools in collaboration with our plants
Work in a project team and manage technicians
Develop new Ca based inorganic products and improve the process steps
Determine ways to strengthen or combine materials, or develop new materials with new or specific properties for use in a variety of products and applications.
Optimize and modelise hydration & slaking process
Define new ways of hydration & slaking
Profile:
PhD Chemical or Material Engineering – 0 to 5 years experience after PhD
Experience in inorganic synthesis is a prerequisite
True international mindset
Fluent in EN, (FR is a plus)
Dynamic, pro-active and hands-on
Leadership skills with a good sense of team spirit
Strong communication and convincing skills
Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Critical thinking, demonstrates ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Complex problem solving, identifies complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
