2. The Olympics Held in summer at Berlin, Germany. The 11th Olympic game
Hitler hosted the games 
Germany won the most medals, but Jesse Owens stole the show.

4. Getting ready
Right before the Olympics, Hitler ordered a makeover in berlin
They hid anti-Jew signs for guests
In order for Germany not to look suspicious they allowed one Jewish person, Helen Mayer, to compete.

5. The boycott of the Olympics of 1936
The U.S. and Europe called for a boycott because they didn’t want the Olympics to be known later as "abuse of human rights"
Later the boycott failed and 49 nations sent athletes to compete.
Everyone was surprised and impressed by how warm and comforting the host country's welcome was.

7. The winners of the Olympics
Jesse Owens, an African American sprinter, won four gold medals.
18 of the 56 medals were given to African Americans, a quarter of the us teams.
When the eighteen returned home they were still segregated. They expected to be celebrated for their accomplishments.
Although the U.S. had 56 medals in all, Germany won 89 medals.
     

8. After the Olympics
This lead to World War 2 and The holocaust. The Olympics made the return of Germany to return to the world community after defeat of World War 2. Adolf Hitler spent 25 million dollars on the finest facilities, cleanest streets, and the temporary withdrawal of the outward signs of the sate-run anti- Jewish campaign.
