3 1 John 5:11-13 Morning Bible Reading.

4 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NKJV [23] For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; [24] and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." [25] In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." [26] For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

7 Do you know that you are saved?
Do you know that you are going to Heaven when this life is over (if you have obeyed Jesus for sure)? Many Christians live their lives, not knowing who they are and what they have believed. Many are the ones even among us, who live in insecurity each and every day. Many don't know what might happen to them if they would die today, because of that insecurity. Is that your case?

8 2 Peter 1:10, 11 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

9 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

11 We have Eternal Life NOW!
1 John 5:13 "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." This is a present Tense! We have Eternal Life NOW!

12 Ephesians 3:10-12 “to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.”

13 2 Timothy 4:6-8 “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

15 a license for immorality
Jude 4 4 "For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. a license for immorality

16 What is the Basis for Our Security?
Abiding in the Truth

17 I John 1:5-6 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

18 1 John 2:24-25 24 “Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us-- eternal life.

19 1 John 3:11 11 "For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another," 2 John 6 6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it."

20 What is the Basis for Our Security?
Abiding in the Truth Walk In The Light

21 I John 1:7-8 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

22 “Walking in the Light” includes: A Striving Obedience to God’s Will

23 Acts 24:15-16 15 "I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. 16 "This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.

24 Philippians 3:13-14 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

25 I John 3:18-22 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

26 “Walking in the Light” includes: A Striving Obedience to God’s Will
Confession Of Sins

27 I John 1:9-10 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us

28 Remember Job? Job 1:5… 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

29 “Walking in the Light” includes:
A Striving Obedience to God’s Will Confession Of Sins Repentance Of Sins

30 Acts 17:30-31 30 "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

31 Peter's Example! Luke 22:61,62 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” 62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

32 What is the Basis for Our Security?
Abiding in the Truth Walk In The Light Standing Upon The Grace

33 Ephesians 2:8-9 8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast .

34 Romans 5:1,2 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

35 Romans 5:10-11 10 "For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

36 Hebrews 7:25 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

37 Are You Secure in Christ?

38 How can I become a Christian?
Hear the gospel. Believe the gospel. Repent of your sins. Confess your faith. Be immersed in water. Walk by faith in newness of life.

39 We can understand the Plan of Salvation
is not so PUZZLING! Confess Repent Believe Matt. 10:32 Acts 17:30 Heb. 11:6 SAVED! Be Baptized Be Faithful Mk. 16:16 Rev. 2:10
