2. Each year in May primary school pupils, parents and teachers across the country wear their happy shoes on their walk to school, to raise vital funds for Living Streets, the UK’s only charity for everyday walking.

Last year more than 300 schools participated in our one-day fundraising event and this year we want to make it bigger and better than ever!
Why should your school participate?
Reduce the number of cars on our roads = Cut traffic jams and toxic fumes
Fewer cars at the school gates = a happy, healthy and safer walk to school

Come to school on Tuesday 22 May in your favourite shoes
Donate £1 to your Happy Shoesday box to raise vital funds for Living Streets
Share photos via social media #happyshoesday2018
Pupils can wear their favourite shoes, adapt a pair of shoes or make their own shoes.
There is a suggested donation of £1 per pupil, but this can be amended as you see fit.
