2 Review: Numbers under 1,000 Teens / Tens
When saying numbers 13-19, we stress (say strongly to show it is important) the teen part of the word. When saying tens (e.g., 30, 40, 50) we the first part of the word. thirteen / thirty eighteen / eighty Hundreds 153 = one hundred (and) fifty-three 100 = one hundred 702 = seven hundred (and) two 690 = six hundred (and) ninety 321 = three hundred (and) twenty-one * Remember! Some people say ‘and’ with the number, but some people do not say ‘and’.

3 Review: Numbers under 10,000 Thousands Examples of how to say numbers:
1,000 = one thousand 2,000 = two thousand 3,000 = three thousand …. 9,000 = nine thousand Examples of how to say numbers: 6,507 = six thousand, five hundred (and) seven 2,222 = two thousand, two hundred (and) twenty-two 7,034 = seven thousand (and) thirty-four

10,000 = ten thousand 20,000 = twenty thousand 30,000 = thirty thousand …. 90,000 = ninety thousand Examples of how to say numbers: 57,826 = fifty-seven thousand, eight hundred (and) twenty-six 18,492 = eighteen thousand, four hundred (and) ninety-two 20,310 = twenty thousand, three hundred (and) ten 99,999 = ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred (and) ninety-nine
