2. Coach Hobbs
My name is Tyler Hobbs. I am married to my wife Emily Hobbs, who works at Farley Middle School in Hutto. We have two Australian Shepherds named Navi and Lexi, who are both Australian Shepherds. I will be coaching Football and Baseball in addition to teaching. I also thoroughly enjoy being outside hunting, fishing and playing sports.

3. I grew up in Ennis, TX where I graduated from Ennis High School
I grew up in Ennis, TX where I graduated from Ennis High School. I played football, baseball, and ran cross country. I also participated in FFA.

4. I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s in History and a teacher’s certification. While there I also played 4 years of baseball.

We are studying 10,000 years of history in the entire world

7. Supplies Each student must bring
2 Spiral Notebooks (one for each semester)
Writing utensil to use every day! Pen or Pencil

8. Spiral Notebook Every 6 weeks you will have a notebook test.
This is a MAJOR grade.
You are responsible for bringing it to class each block.
We use it every day!!!

10. Tardies Come in quietly Sign Tardy log Have a seat
1st- Sign Tardy Log, Teacher Conference with student.
2nd- Sign Tardy Log, Contact parents, detention.
3rd- Sign Tardy Log, Detention or Office Referral.
4th- Sign Tardy Log, Office Referral in which Admin will be notified.
Teacher will keep Tardy Log, and excessive tardies can lead to a student from being exempt from the Final Exams.
These are SCHOOL policies, not the teachers.

11. Social Studies grading policy
60% minor grades
40% major grades

12. Late Work Policy
1 day late 85- If absent you have one extra day to complete 2 days late- 70

13. Retakes Students can retake assignments/tests
The maximum grade you can get is a 70%
Must schedule retakes with teacher to complete during tutorials
This is NOT during class time

14. Absences
If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to obtain any missing work.

15. Tutorials By appointment
If you are needing any support please make sure you see ME.
NO lunch tutorials.

16. Leaving the classroom
You may not leave the classroom without my permission. Doing so will result in a referral.
Bathroom use will by up to my discretion.

17. BYOD ONLY with teacher permission
If you choose to have phone or device out without permission it will be taken and turned into the office.

18. Objective and Agenda Both appear on white board each day.
Objective will tell us what we are learning that day.
Agenda will list the activities that will be use to accomplish that learning objective.
The Agenda will also help with organization of your spiral by giving page #s.
