Radiant classrooms are full of educational materials
11
Maria Montessori, born in the province of Ancona, Italy in 1870, was, in many ways, ahead of her time. Her philosophy was profound; children teach themselves.
12
Self-discipline, instilled at a young age
13
Radiant is not just a daycare. It’s a place where your child will learn.
14
The study of child psychology in the first years of life opens to our eyes, such wonders that no one seeing them with understanding can fail to be deeply stirred.
15
Absorbent Mind?

How structured is the classroom? What materials are used? Are the teachers qualified?

Team work!
25
“All Montessori materials teach concepts in “concrete form” allowing children to touch, feel and explore, thereby creating very real mental imprints. Children will retain them and build on in years to follow.”

Motivation.
29
Children under six years have extraordinary powers of mind
Children under six years have extraordinary powers of mind. They have a once-in-a- lifetime ability to absorb knowledge from their surroundings. That is what Maria Montessori called “the absorbent mind.”
30
To be calm and happy, children under 6 years need to explore and discover. They see the world through curious eyes. That’s what motivates them.
31
Children respond to order because of their innate need to know where things belong and how pieces fit together.
32
Learning colors
33
Children master the movements of their own bodies by learning to balance, run, skip, and jump.
34
Children are fascinated by customs and traditions of people in their lives.
35
The Montessori preschool classroom allows the children the freedom to choose their own work without unnecessary interference from an adult.
36
Accomplishment.
37
At Radiant, children learn motivation and creativity through freedom
At Radiant, children learn motivation and creativity through freedom. That is Radiant’s promise – motivation, creativity, and freedom
38
Motivation to accomplish
39
At Radiant, we create an environment in which children learn to work independently, based on their own initiative thereby building concentration and self- discipline.
40
Research shows the extraordinary high level of learning – both conscious and unconscious – that can come with ease to children under 6 years.
41
Self-engagement instills self-discipline
42
“Montessori early childhood education enhances young children’s knowledge in the present; it also establishes a solid educational foundation for later life.”
43
Secure Play
44
In the multi-age setting, the children learn from each other, and they learn because of each other.
45
At Radiant, the children are taught to take responsibility for themselves and for each other.
46
Play time!
47
At Radiant, the children will learn to get along with children of different ages and abilities, to respect each other’s work space, and to treat each other with courtesy.
48
At Radiant, the children will learn to excuse themselves, greet each other, and phrase requests politely.
49
At Radiant, the children will learn to take an active role in maintaining their classroom (their house) by putting materials away in their proper place, ready for the next child to use.
