Started by Micah Phillips in 2014 Grown from 25 members to +75 members ICMA Local Government Management Fellows 3 Fellows in 2016 (most of any school nationally!) Want to get involved? Serve as a panelist, critique a resume, conduct a mock interview, host an intern, offer to be a mentor! Spotlight Event with Gov. Gregoire
Highlight of the year was when student chapter leaders Ashley Sonoff and Lauren Broudy met and invited Gov. Chris Gregoire to come to campus and speak with students about leadership and breaking gender barriers in her career. It was an outstanding and motivational evening.

HIRING Hiring paid interns and full-time entry-level roles is key.
Over 100 MPA students in the past three years have interned in local or state government Local government internships pay well Common to convert to full-time jobs Increasing number of “Management Analyst” or “Budget Analyst” or “Policy Analyst” roles Class of 2015 had ~15% in local government
