Deaf-Blindness Deaf-Blindness is a condition of a combined vision and hearing loss, requiring specific instructional strategies that address the presence of both sensory impairments. The child could have varying degrees of hearing and vision loss. It is the combination of this loss that has a profound impact on how the child will interact and learn in his or her environment. The important thing to remember is that you should focus on both the hearing and vision aspect of the sensory losses.
