1 My Digital Footprint BY:CHRISTINA SATO

2 Strategies to keeping a safe and appropriate digital footprint
Strategy #1: One way to keep a safe and appropriate digital footprint is by thinking twice before you post. Most teenagers post photos and videos online without really thinking who will be seeing them, but the first thing future employers, colleges, and universities always do is look at your digital footprint to see the type of person you are online. It's also important to make sure in the post your sharing it doesn't contain any personal information about yourself. You have to remember that almost anyone can access your account.

3 Strategies to keeping a safe and appropriate digital footprint
Strategy #2: Another one way to keep a safe and appropriate digital footprint is to put your accounts on private. When your account is not on private anyone can see your account who finds it. When your account is on private you can choose who is viewing your profile and have more control of what information your sharing with certain people. But just because your on privacy settings doesn't mean what you post is for you and your friends eyes only. If you didn't want people seeing certain things than you should not post it.

4 Strategies to keeping a safe and appropriate digital footprint
Strategy #3: The third strategy to keeping a safe and appropriate digital footprint is to not over post. When posting something on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. it's always good to keep in mind if it's something you really need to share. Sometimes it's better just to keep it off social media, because not everything you hear, say or eat has to be posted somewhere.

5 How it can it affect your future
I believe that it's always good to be aware of your digital footprint and what you look like online, because in the future at a job interview you wouldn't want your boss to know about all the parties you went to in high school. Your digital footprint can affect you in bad ways and even good ways. For example if your Facebook has all these photos of you drinking and partying that wouldn't look good for you when a interested university searches up your name. But if a interested university searches your name up on google and they find all these projects that you have done in high school and all these extra circular activities it will look really good on your part.

6 What you should spread I would spread that you don't have to be so involved with your social medias, and you don't have to post everything you do online. It's easy just to pick up the phone and call your friends to tell them what your doing or where your going. You don't have to stay away from social medias all together just to have a appropriate digital footprint. As long as you think twice the next time you post, tweet, pin, share, or send something, everything will be okay.
