In this lesson, you will learn how to add and save your chemistry results.

Step 1 Click the Chemistry link.

Step 2 Click the Enter Data button.

This is the data entry screen.  From this screen, you will select the product you tested.  Once you have selected the product, you will be able to add your results for each test you conducted.  You must enter values in the 1st Run and in the 2nd Run columns.  You must select the method you used to perfom the test.

Step 3 Click the Ground Oregano link.

Step 4 Click in the Date Started field.

Step 6 Click in the Moisture (%) 1st Run field. Enter "7.66“ into the Moisture (%) 1st Run field.

Step 9 Select M Moisture by Azeotropic Distillation from the list.

Step 10 Click in the VOSD (%) 1st Run field. Enter "2.30" into the VOSD (%) 1st Run field.

Step 11 Click in the VOSD (%) 2nd Run field. Enter "2.30" into the VOSD (%) 2nd Run field. Reminder!! You must enter a value for the 1st Run and 2nd Run, even if the values are the same!

Step 12 Click in the McCormick Method Used VOSD (%) field.

Step 13 Select M Volatile Oil By Steam Distillation from the list.

Step 14 Click in the Total Ash (%) 1st Run field. Enter "7.68" into the Total Ash (% )1st Run field.

Step 15 Click in the Total Ash (%) 2nd Run field. Enter "7.64" into the Total Ash (%) 2nd Run field.

Step 17 Select M Total Ash and Acid Insoluble Ash from the list. Reminder!! You must select the McCormick Method Used.  If you select other, you must enter what method you used in the line below.  If you need to review a McCormick Technical method, you can use the Technical Methods link at the top of the page.

Step 18 Click the Save button. Reminder!! You must save each worksheet.  If you do not save, your data will be lost and you will need to re-enter it.

Step 27 Click in the Alcohol (%) 2nd Run field. Enter "43.85“ into the Alcohol (%) 2nd Run field.

Step 28 Click in the McCormick Method Used Alcohol (%) field.

Step 29 Select Other (Use field below) from the list.

Step 30 Click in the blank line below the field. Enter "In house method M234" into the blank line below the field. Reminder!! If you select Other in the McCormick Method Used dropdown list, you must enter a description of the method in the field below.

Step 31 Click in the Refractive Index 1st Run field. Enter "1.3601“ into the Refractive Index 1st Run field.

Step 32 Click in the Refractive Index 2nd Run field. Enter "1.3601" into the Refractive Index 2nd Run field.

Step 33 Click in the McCormick Method Used Refractive Index field.

Step 34 Select M Brix or Refractive Index Determination from the list.

Step 35 Click the Save button.

You may logout of the program and your data are saved.  This allows you to logon to the system at a later time to add, edit and review your results before they are submitted.
