It always starts with symbol. A tweet is a message posted to Twitter that contains 140 characters or less. A DM is a Direct Message and this is a private tweet sent to someone (a message). Retweet is when you forward another user’s tweet to all of your followers. A reply is when you respond to another person’s tweet. A hashtag is anything attached to the # symbol that marks keywords or topics in a tweet.
