Many wanted to travel to the Old West. The West represented a new beginning.

3 Great Western Cattle Trail
The railroads did not cross into Texas. The closest railroads were hundreds of miles away. Started in Bandera, Texas and ended in Ogallala, Nebraska. Monument of the Great Western Cattle Trail

4 Chisholm Trail The most popular trail.
Started in San Antonio, Texas and ended in Kansas.
