Universal mythic characters exists in all of us and are based on the condition, experiences, and the structuring of the brain in humans all over the world Each archetype is based on human emotions All of us have several of these archetypes in us

Free Goal to be happy Dreamer, Utopian, naïve, romantic The regular person Goal: to connect with others, to belong Fear: To stand out, be different, attention The hero Mastery through will Strong, competent, courageous Caregiver To be helpful Greatest fear: selfishness

Homework Analyze your writing from yesterday to see if you can find aspects of the archetypes. Analyze your favorite TV show/movie/book to see if you can find the archetypes AND the Hero’s Journey Come up with a quick plot as practice using the hero’s journey plot!
