14. What is CORE? CORE = Cooperative Open Reporting Environment
Replacement for BI Query canned reports and the existing data warehouse
Uses Ellucian’s ODS (Operational Data Store) to pull data from Banner
More fields / tables than in the existing data warehouse

Can use anywhere / any device
Allows all OSU employees to access reports

Access to CORE is automatic for all OSU employees (except students)
Active position = CORE access
Position changes = CORE security may change
Access based on position / job family / classification
Security levels defined by data stewards
Exceptions
Banner overrides – based on Banner security classes
