Information to communicate Any funding allocations received or to receive that were unbudgeted Example: You will receive E&G allocations for event/program support Human Resources changes New position additions (unbudgeted) Unforeseen position vacancies Material changes to budgeted revenues or expenses If you know changes in your operations will greatly impact 1) your projected revenues for the fiscal year or 2) your expense line items (This includes building and equipment reserves)

14 What is CORE? CORE = Cooperative Open Reporting Environment
Replacement for BI Query canned reports and the existing data warehouse Uses Ellucian’s ODS (Operational Data Store) to pull data from Banner More fields / tables than in the existing data warehouse Also includes data from other systems: Facilities Housing ID Card Canvas RecTrac Cayuse (in progress) Ideal-Logic EmpCenter (in progress) November 9, 2018

15 Why CORE? BI Query is outdated (20+ year old) system
Use Banner related tables rather than create / maintain our own Web based system No software to load Can use anywhere / any device Allows all OSU employees to access reports November 9, 2018

16 CORE Security Access to CORE is automatic for all OSU employees (except students) Active position = CORE access Position changes = CORE security may change Access based on position / job family / classification Security levels defined by data stewards Exceptions Banner overrides – based on Banner security classes Some other exceptions / special cases Levels of access will be shared November 9, 2018
