6 Credit Recovery Fall Free/Spring Free/Maymester
Free online courses for students to make up credit needed for graduation. It is offered afterschool at Lakeview. Students will need to listen to announcements and sign up with their counselor in the counseling office.

Register online by the end of junior year Students who plan to play an athletic sport at a Div. I or Div. II school. $90 application fee Can be waived if you qualify for an ACT/SAT fee waiver. Eligibility is based on test scores, grades, and required core courses taken.

11 Requesting Transcripts
Transcripts can ONLY be requested through NAVIANCE. The registrar, Mrs. Robles is the only person authorized to send transcripts….Counselors DO NOT! See the registrar and complete the “transcript request form”. Transcripts are free if sent electronically or $1 if need to be sent via mail. Please allow hours for the transcript to be processed. Dual Credit students – Go to DCCCD econnect account as well for your transcript.

Pledge SENIOR YEAR by February 8, 2019: Make your Promise Pledge at Your pledge is only complete once you see a submission confirmation Apply Complete application to DCCCD through ApplyTX SENIOR YEAR by March 8, 2019 Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) and list DCCCD college Enroll SENIOR YEAR by July 31, 2019: Complete DCCCD Registration for Fall semester Mention improvements: ApplyTX & TASFA 4

ALL Dallas County Promise students Free tuition (cost of classes) at UNT Dallas Must meet Promise renewal requirements (2.0 GPA, 18 credit hours per year) Completion of Bachelor’s degree Select Dallas County Promise students Free tuition (cost of classes) at SMU Must meet additional GPA and income requirements Completion of Bachelor’s degree

20 Promise Benefits to Students
Regardless of what FAFSA/TASFA comes back with, Promise students are guaranteed free tuition at any DCCCD campus For ALL students at the 41 participating high schools regardless of income or high school GPA (and no essays!) Promise Pledge also counts as DCCCD Rising Star scholarship application; students will automatically receive book stipend if they meet additional income and GPA requirements 3.0 GPA Based on FAFSA application – financial need

College courses that count toward high school graduation requirements and college credits Courses are taken at LCHS during regular school hours Who can take it? 9th - 12th graders that complete Dual Credit enrollment packet and pass the TSI Placement Tests Dual Credit Application Packets are available now and due back in the Counseling office by September 30th .
