2 What Class is This? MHS Pre-Calculus A = MHS College Algebra A, B = CSI College Algebra (Math 143) MHS Pre-Calculus B = No College Credits Math 143 is 3 credits of college algebra.

3 What if I Am not Going to CSI?
Credits will transfer to MOST colleges or universities. Here are a few that I looked up. You can look up others too. School Class Abbreviation Class Name Idaho State University Math 1143 College Algebra Boise State Math 143 BYU-Idaho FDMAT110 Utah State Math 1050

4 How Much Money? $65 per credit for a total of $195 for the class.
Fast Forward Money State has given every student $4125 to spend on dual credit or AP classes. This can pay for your whole class. County Residency Forms This allows you to get money from the county of Idaho in which you have resided for at least a year. Failure to fill this out will result in you paying $150 for the class.

5 Pros and Cons to Dual Credit
Pro: Free college credits Pro: More help accessible to you Pro: No extra work required to receive dual credit Pro: Can give you a good GPA headed into college Pro: Good to put on your resume Con: Credit must be transferred whether you want it to or not. If you were to get a bad grade, it could automatically go on your college transcript. Con: Might only transfer as general credits to some universities
