7. Opechancanough, brother of Chief Powahatan and Pocohantas's uncle, did not like the English presence in Virginia, as this scene suggests. When he became chief upon his brother's death, Opechancanough attacked the English at Jamestown, though he failed to drive the English from Virginia. (John Smith's Generall Historie, 1624)
