Registration email Special Notes Commander Name,
A representative of your organization, Unit Name, recently initiated the process of participating in the Army Readiness Assessment Program (ARAP). This assessment is designed explicitly to provide you, the commander/director, with feedback regarding your organization's safety climate and culture, as perceived by members of your organization. These assessments have been ongoing since October 2005 and our experience has shown that commanders/director who openly endorse the assessment process and request candid, feedback derive the greatest value in responses provided. Of particular value are the open-ended (write-in) questions items that allow respondents to enter in their own responses. Please encourage your unit/organization to take advantage of these questions to provide specific feedback (most beneficial). Listed below are steps to take the assessment, monitor progress and schedule a confidential debrief The average battalion or directorate will complete the assessment within 45 days of registration approval. Units/Organizations with “less than 10” assessments completed 90 days after their enrollment approval will be removed and have to re-register. The organization is responsible to issue instructions on where Soldiers/employees should go to take the assessment. CAC cards are not required to take the ARAP survey; what individuals will need is the survey code and the website address. Special Notes Instructions: How to monitor the number of assessments completed, the number needed to receive a brief and the contact information to schedule a brief. How To: Log into ARAP and take the assessment.(Pass this area to personnel taking the ARAP assessment) Step 1. Step 2. Click on the red button labeled [Take an Assessment] Step 3. After reading the instructions, click on [Take Assessment] button or tab. Step 4. Select your rank (this is the only demographic the Combat Readiness/Safety Center tracks). Step 5. Type in the Access Code [ XXXXXXXXX ] Step 6. Click on the Submit button. The assessment will take between minutes per person. At the end, a certificate may be printed to document the completion of the assessment. All respondents use the same Access Code when taking the ARAP survey. Note: Everyone taking the assessment will enter the same access code above. This assessment is anonymous as the application does not acquire any personal identifying data! ARAP is web-based and can be taken anywhere in the world internet capability is available. No CAC or government computer is required. The ARAP program has indicators emplaced to identify personnel that are not taking the assessment serious, we title it “suspect data”. Please take your time and read each question. Use this as an opportunity to provide your commander/director with candid information that will assist them in providing a safer environment for everyone.

Monitor Registration email Instructions: (con’t)
How To: Monitor the assessments. (Do not pass this area to personnel taking the ARAP assessment) We are also providing you a web page so that you may track the progress of how many personnel from the command have taken the assessment. Step 1. Step 2. Click on the Commanders/Safety Officer button. Step 3. Type in the Access Code [ XXXXXXXXX ] Step 4. Click on the Submit button Step 5. Now you will be able to monitor the progress of the number of assessments taken. The minimum number that we are looking for is XXX out of XXX (this provides us enough quantifiable data to conduct a telephonic debrief). The objective of the minimum amount of assessments is to reach a 95% confidence level. As soon as XXX assessments are submitted, you may call or to schedule a telephonic debrief. The CDR/ Safety Officer/ Manager use the same Access Code when Monitoring the progress the progress the organization. How To: Schedule debrief. Once you have reached the minimum number of assessments mentioned above it’s now time to set up the debrief. Look for a primary and secondary date and time on the Commander/Director calendar (approx min), this will be helpful in confirming availability. Contact one of the ARAP team members listed below to schedule a date and time: Wallace Kennedy (334) DSN: Larry Simon (334) DSN: Robert Myrick (334) DSN:
