6 Concussion Law 2011 Wisconsin Act 172
Informational notices are provided on our website. Coaches must remove any player they suspect has had a concussion. The player cannot resume participation until a medical provider has cleared him.

9 Selection Process All players registered with OYBL are eligible to play on a travel team unless they are playing on another traveling team outside of Oregon. Oregon Youth Baseball Travel Team Protocol document explains the selection process and other information regarding travel teams. This can be found on our website at in documents under the resources tab.

10 Selection Process Tryouts – Sunday, March 11 at Oregon High School fieldhouse and indoor batting cages. Oregon High School baseball coaching staff evaluates performance. Players are evaluated on their abilities in the areas of hitting, fielding, and throwing. Parents are not allowed in the gym during tryouts.

12 2019 Travel Team Tryouts September 9 at Faust Field
More information will be ed over the summer with details as well as posted on our website. Outside tryouts will allow us to do more. Allow for optional practices throughout the winter.

13 Fees Other possible costs: Baseball pants, socks, bat, helmet, cleats.

7th grade plays on Tuesday and Saturday Games are played on a full-sized diamond 60’ 6” pitcher’s mound 90’ bases

16 8th Grade Travel Play in Rock River Jr League (Teener) plus tournaments 8th grade may play league games Monday-Friday Games are played on a full-sized diamond 60’ 6” pitcher’s mound 90’ bases

17 Bats and Cleats 9U-13U: Must have USA baseball marking on it /8” barrel maximum. 14U: Must have USA baseball marking on it or BBCOR Weight to Length ratio -3 or /8” barrel maximum. 9U-12U: Rubber cleats only. 13U-14U: Metal cleats are allowed.

18 Batting Helmets OYBL is no longer furnishing helmets for Machine Pitch on up. Reason: Concussion safety. By purchasing your own you can make sure the helmet properly fits your child. We’ve included a helmet on the spirit pack order You can also purchase at Dick’s Sporting Goods during Oregon Youth Baseball appreciation day and get 20% off. Batting Helmets

19 Equipment Exchange Saturday, April 7- Oregon High School
12:00-1:00- bring in items for the exchange Acceptable items: cleats, bats, gloves, helmets, and catcher’s equipment. 1:00-5:00 or until all items are gone. Items are available on a first come first serve basis.

21 OYBL Hosted Tournaments
9U, 10U, 14U: June 15-17 11U – 13U: July 13-15 Tournament administration OYBL expects parents of players to help maintain fields and keep score. This is our major fundraiser and helps keep registration fees down. Sign up options will be sent out prior to tournaments Watch for s
