2. Apron
A covering (usually of cloth, plastic, or leather) usually tied around the waist and used to protect clothing

3. Beaker A special glass jar used to hold liquids.
It has a spout on its rim to make pouring easier and is not used to measure liquids precisely.

4. Graduated Cylinder
A glass or plastic tube with a base and numbered marks on its side that is used to measure liquids precisely.
You read a graduated cylinder at the meniscus

Slender glass tube used to hold chemicals during reactions.

6. Bunsen Burner
This tool burns gas and is used for heating materials.

7. Petri Dish
A small, flat, clear dish used to grow mold or bacteria.

8. Microscope Slide
A small piece of glass which holds samples for viewing under a microscope.

9. Dropper
This tool is used to dispense small drops of liquids.

10. Scissors
A tool used to cut paper and other objects used in the science classroom.

11. Triple Beam Balance
A tool used to measure mass in grams.

A hand-held lens which makes objects look larger.

13. Ruler
A tool used for making linear measurements in mm and cm.

A scientific tool used for examining objects too small to be seen with the naked eye.
