6. Starting Photoshop CC
With Windows 8 running, scroll to display the Photoshop CC tile on the Start screen
Tap or click the Adobe Photoshop CC tile to run the Photoshop CC app
After a few moments, when the Photoshop window is displayed, if the window is not maximized, tap or click the Maximize button next to the close button on the Application bar to maximize the window

Tap or click the workspace switcher on the options bar to display the list of workspaces
Tap or click Essentials in the workspace switcher list to select the default workspace

Tap or click Reset Essentials to restore the workspace to its default settings and reposition any panels that previous users may have been moved

If the tools on the Tools panel appear in two columns, tap or click the double arrow at the top of the Tools panel
Tap or click the ‘Default Foreground and Background Colors’ button near the bottom of the Tools panel to ensure that the default colors are black and white
If the color white appears over black at the bottom of the Tools panel, tap or click the ‘Switch Foreground and Background Colors’ button to choose the default colors
If necessary, tap or click the second button from the top on the Tools panel to select it
If the button does not display a square icon, press and hold or right-click the button and then tap or click ‘Rectangular Marquee Tool’ on the context menu

Press and hold or right-click the ‘Rectangular Marquee Tool’ icon on the options bar to display its context menu
Tap or click ‘Reset All Tools’ to display a confirmation dialog box

Tap or click Stroke in the list of layer styles to display the Layer Style dialog box
Type the desired stroke size in the Size box
Tap or click the OK button in the Layer Style dialog box to accept the settings and add the stroke

Ready the printer according to the printer instructions
Tap or click File on the Application bar and then tap or click Print to display the Print dialog box
If necessary, tap or click the Printer button and then select your printer from the list. Do not change any other settings
In the Photoshop Print Settings dialog box, tap or click the Print button to start the printing process. If your system displays a second Print dialog box or a Print Settings dialog box, unique to your printer, tap or click its Print button
When the printer stops, retrieve the hard copy of the photo
