Some of the newer dash switches can be confusing for customers
Nobody wants a switch on the dash that they don’t understand
Proper understanding leads to a better walk around and a satisfied customer

3. Espar heater Provides Heat to the sleeper without running the engine
No air conditioning
Espar has a fuel pump and a diesel fired heater to raise the coolant temp
Driver uses the sleeper heat controls for fan operation
Heated coolant circulates through the engine and radiator for easy starting after a cold night

5. Engine shut down override
NOT idle shutdown override.
Engine shutdown for low coolant, low oil pressure or overheat
Push the button to override the shutdown and get safely to the side of the road
May have to push several times

6. Hill Start Aid override
DT12 transmissions are equipped with HSA. System has an inclinometer in the transmission to show a nose up angle
If the operator applies the service brake firmly, HSA will hold the brakes for 3 seconds to allow the driver to move from brake to throttle
HSA override kills that functions

7. Automatic Traction Control
ATC compares wheel speed on all axles to look for a difference in speed caused by drive wheel spin
ATC reduces torque and pumps the brakes selectively to help stop a spinning wheel
ATC is always on
Push the button to allow wheel spin in mud
Push the button for icy parking lot
Button flashes until you turn it back on
