2 Year 10 Outdoor Education explores a range of topics including
Course Description Year 10 Outdoor Education explores a range of topics including Types of environments Weather and Climate Change Water (with a focus on the Gippsland lakes) Minimal impact And a range of practical skills.

ICT based worksheets Discussion/debates Practical activities that link in with theory work. Practical Camp skills Guest speakers Assessment tasks include research assignments and exams

4 Subject pathway…. Outdoor and Environmental Studies offers students a range of pathways, and caters to those who wish to pursue further formal study in areas where interaction with outdoor environments is central, such as: Natural resource management, nature-based tourism, outdoor leading and guiding, environmental research and policy, education, and agriculture.

5 Extra activities/costs?
Year 10 Outdoor Education has a compulsory camp. An overnight mountain bike camp. Cost approximately $50 There will also be a day trip. Classroom activities include equipment talks and tests, knot tying and general camp skills.
