GENERAL INFORMATION The merger of East View Primary and Junyuan Primary will take effect in 2019 The merged school site is at Junyuan Primary 2017 2018 2019 Announcement of Merger. Current P1 to P4 students are affected Preparatory Year for Merger All P3 to P6 students will begin at the merged school Upgrading of merged school (Nov 2019 to Dec 2021) Merged school will continue to operate at the existing Junyuan Primary School site during upgrading

INFORMATION TO BE ANNOUNCED IN 2018
Appointment of Principal-Designate of the merged school Name of the merged school Prospective changes to the school uniform will be decided by the Principal-Designate in consultation with stakeholders (SAC, Parents, Students) Allocation of classes Student Care Centre

SCHOOL HOURS School will begin as usual with the flag raising ceremony at 7.30am Curriculum hours will be as follows: Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 1.45pm Friday am to 12.45pm No change in Remedial / Supplementary Lesson Days

TEXTBOOKS 2018 2019 To align with Junyuan Pri, new texts will be introduced for English Language : P3 & P4 Oral Workbook P5 & P6 Synthesis and Transformation Workbook P4 to P6 STELLAR Readers For Mathematics, students will use new Math textbook For Higher Chinese Language (HCL), students taking the subject will only need to buy one textbook i.e. HCL textbook No change in textbooks for other subjects

CURRICULUM ALIGNMENT Both East View and Junyuan will continue with their respective curriculum and assessment practices for P1 – P3 in 2018. For P4 and P5 levels, the scope and sequence of topics to be taught for English, Science (includes P3), Mother Tongue and Mathematics will be the same. Students will sit for common papers for SA1 and SA2. The papers will be set by teachers from both schools.

ASSESSMENT 2018, common papers for SA1 and SA2 will facilitate the Subject Based Banding (SBB) process SBB for 2018 P4 and P5 students will be jointly administered.

BONDING ACTIVITIES To provide opportunities for students from both schools to get to know one another better, several bonding activities will be organised Students from P2 to P5 levels in 2018 will have an opportunity to interact with their peers from Junyuan Primary as these cohorts will be going over to the merged school in 2019

STUDENT CARE CENTRE Both schools have students already enrolled in the respective Student Care Centres (SCC) For 2019, application for a place in the SCC at the merged school will depend on the number of vacancies available
