Meetings With Students
As of this week, we have already met with every 8th and 9th grade student at least once. Each academic year, we meet with every student a minimum of four times. In addition to our scheduled meetings, students know that they may visit their counselor, anytime, as needs arise.

Content of Meetings First Meeting: Address issues and topics related to entering Freshman year. (i.e.: grades, time management, personal issues, extracurricular involvement, etc.). Second Meeting: Discuss academic progress; addressed student questions/concerns, recommended and facilitated tutoring opportunities. (National Honor Society, Math Honor Society )

Third Meeting: Review PSAT 8/9 scores at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter. Fourth Meeting: We discuss course selection sheets, to ensure that each student is correctly registered for their required courses and appropriately challenged during the next academic year. Additionally, we are in constant communication with teachers, in an effort to identify and address individual student needs.

Tutoring Math Honor Society offers math tutoring on Tuesdays 3:20-4:00 and on Thursdays 7:15-7:50. National Honor Society will offer tutoring. More information coming soon
