9 Streamlined Main Menu (Navigator)
Displays HCM menu groups in first menu positions Consolidates functionality into 3 main role-based groups Hides unneeded entries to reduce clutter Groups entries with no subordinates into Others The main menu is redesigned and simplified. HCM menu groups now appear in the first positions of the main menu. Most HCM menu entries are consolidated under Me (formally About Me), My Team, and My Client Groups (formally My Workforce) to make it easier to find what you’re looking for based on the role you’re acting in. For example, the Compensation work area is now available under My Client Groups and Directory is located under Me. Payroll and Benefits Administration still exist as their own menu groups. In addition, some entries are delivered as hidden and some are consolidated into a single entry such as the new Career and Performance entry under Me. Menu entries that don’t have any subordinate entries under them are now consolidated into a new menu group called Others. This is true for all Fusion products, not just HCM. 10 Page Tabs & Apps Displays menu groups as tabs
Displays subordinate entries as Apps Provides alternate access for quick navigation On the news feed layout, there is a home page tab for every main menu group. Tabs display in the same order as the groups display in the main menu. The groups are boxed in red. On each tab, there are apps that represent the subordinate menu entries included in each main menu group. These are boxed in green. Apps provide an alternate way to get to where you want to go and put navigation front and center. So when you have to make a change for yourself and are on the Me tab, for example, you can easily click on the Personal Information App to navigate to the Personal Info page instead of using the main menu. You can hide apps you don’t use to further simplify the page. Hiding an app does not hide the entry from the main menu. Introduction to Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud

11 Global Search Search for Direct Search for Self Search for HCM people
Take action on a searched person View Recent Searches View Popular Searches Search for Main Menu entries Search for Self Using the new HCM global search, you can search for yourself or another person and take action directly from the global search window. When you click the arrow next to a searched person, you’re presented with suggested actions. Suggested actions are person sensitive. When you search for and select yourself, suggested actions are those you can perform on yourself. If you search for and select another person, suggested actions only include those you can perform on that person as either their line manager or as an HR professional. Suggested actions are predetermined based on customer usage statistics, so not all actions can be initiated from the global search. You can also click on any person’s name to go directly to their spotlight. In addition to people group seen here, each user can enable different groups to appear in the Global Search window such as your own Recent Searches, Popular Searches in your organization, and Navigation to enable searching on main menu entries. 12 Role Based Quick Actions
Displays HCM menu groups in first menu positions Organizes actions by role Provides quick links to initial set of actions Groups actions by function on Show More Allows administrators to configure groups and actions to display Quick actions are now organized by the role you’re acting in and are available from the Me, My Team, and My Client Group home page tabs when using the news feed layout. By “role”, we’re referring to generic, high level roles not specific application or job roles. Links to an initial set of actions are available on the home page tabs when you have the functional privilege to perform those actions for either yourself, your team, or the people in your professional area of responsibility. Click Show More under the last quick link to see all the actions you can perform in that role. Actions are organized into functional groups to make it easier to find the action you want to perform. Actions displayed as quick links on the HCM home page tabs are those that appear first on the Show More page. For example, on the My Team tab, you see the employment actions displayed first, so those actions appear as quick links. Quick actions use functional security to determine actions you can perform. For those actions that require you to select a person, such as Promote or Transfer, data security is evaluated after you select the action. Then you’re presented with a list of people you can act on. When on the My Team tab, you can act on employees on your team. When on the My Client Groups tab, you can act on people in your area of responsibility as an HR professional. Administrators can configure the Show More page using the Structure menu. You can change the names of the functional group, enable or disable actions, and change the sequence of the functional groups and actions within those groups. 13 Things to Finish Places notifications on your home page
Displays number of notifications assigned to and created by you Provides 1 click access to dismiss, approve, reject Your notifications now appear in the Things to Finish section of the home page. You can quickly see how many notifications are assigned to you and how many notifications were sent based on actions you performed. You can quickly dismiss, approve, or reject a notification if you don’t require additional details to close it out. Use the right arrow to scroll to see additional notifications in the card view, or you can use Show More to see all your notifications. Show more organizes your notifications into those assigned to you, created by you, and archived. The Show More page displays the same notifications as the bell icon and provides an alternate way of accessing your notifications when using the news feed layout. Active announcements are global and are available to all employees in your organization. Introduction to Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud
