Prototypical Plan Sketches
Experience = Quick estimation Past projects are guides Prototypical = generalized sketch Quick for information only Will not be set in stone designs Will need basic knowledge of typical furniture sizes and access to reference manuals Provides a better understanding of the needs for each space Not intended for clients use

Team Assignment: Each team will develop prototypical plan sketches for each of their spaces. Make sure that the sq. footage we assigned is going to accommodate the FF&E required. If the space is too large, adjust it so it will not be wasteful. Include dimensions and all furniture/equipment required in the space.

Criteria Matrix Completed after the plan sketches are finalized.
Criteria includes: Sq. Footage Adjacencies Public Access Daylight/View Privacy Plumbing Special Equip Special Considerations

Bubble (relationship) Diagram
Draw circles for each space required Size of circle should relate to sq. footage Spaces requiring adjacencies should be close to each other (or touch) Use connecting lines (graphic symbols) to indicate adjacencies and major circulation. Should not relate to building shell Room names and sq. footages indicated Views, privacy etc. should be indicated. Must include a legend.
