Today we are going to talk about the ESD sales tool called GLIMPSE. We’ll discuss what it is, and how to use it.

Glimpse is a program that acts as an electronic version of the Summary of Fringe Benefits. You can find it on the ESD Agent website.

GLIMPSE is beneficial for [prospects, eligible employees, clients] because it creates personalized reports to show them a realistic view of what they can expect out of retirement.

BENEFITS: AGENT TRACK CLIENTS CREATE REPORTS
GLIMPSE is beneficial for Agents because it has the ability to keep track of all the clients you have input in the program, and it can create a report using your client’s information. You can print out the report with a cover sheet to take to a meeting, or you can send it as a PDF to your client.

HOW TO GET STARTED The GLIMPSE program is available for download on the home page of the ESD Agent Resources website. The reason we have the program for download is so Agents are able to have access when they cannot connect to the WIFI. Since our business is done primarily in federal buildings that have jammers, it can be difficult to connect to the internet. Let’s walk through the steps to install GLIMPSE to your computer.

HOW TO GET STARTED Scroll down the Agent Resources page until you see the blue box on the left. Click the ‘GLIMPSE’ button.

HOW TO GET STARTED Once you click the button, you’ll notice a bar pops up at the bottom of your screen asking whether you want to ‘run’ or ‘save’. Click ‘run’.

INSTALL GLIMPSE The ESD GLIMPSE Setup Wizard will appear. Follow the steps to install GLIMPSE to your computer by clicking the ‘Next’ button.

HOW TO USE GLIMPSE Now that we’ve covered how to install GLIMPSE, let’s learn how to use it.

This is the screen that appears when you open GLIMPSE. You can see the form is broken into different sections.

Select a Client Add New Client Save Client Record Delete Client Record
Update Agent Data At the top, there is a menu bar where you can: select a client you have already saved in the system, add a new client, save a client’s record that you are working on, delete a client record, or update your Agent data. The ‘Select a client’ offers a drop-down option for you to access all your clients’ records.

Looking at the top left of the form you’ll notice a section called ‘Client Information’. As the title suggests, this is where you put your client’s information including their salary, average pay raises, desired retirement age, and more.

To the right of the ‘Client Information’ section is a place to select the appropriate benefit information for your client. This is where you’ll: -Fill out if the client is a participant if the Federal Employee Retirement System, including their status. -Select if they are a participant in the Federal Employee Group Life Insurance program, and what option they have. -And, select if they are a Thrift Plan participant.

Directly below the ‘Benefit Information’ section you’ll find the ‘Globe Life Insurance Products’ section. This is where our products come into play. When you meet with a client and have their client and benefit information, you can start to input potential plan options into this section. You can select Ordinary or Term Life Insurance options and factor in the weekly premium amount, Accidental Death Benefit, whether the client has substandard rates, and indicate if there is a Child Rider on the policy.

The last section you’ll notice on the bottom left corner is ‘Reports to Print’. This section will allow you to customize your presentation needs by letting you select what kind of report you’ll need. It has a cover page that will include your client’s name, your name, and the day you pulled the report. As for the Civil Service Retirement System and the rest of the forms, they will provide projections based on the client’s information.

Federal Employee Retirement System Federal Employee Group Life Insurance Globe Ordinary Life Insurance Proposal Globe TERM Life Insurance Proposal Here is an example of what these reports look like. The Civil Service Retirement System, the Federal Employee Retirement System, the Federal Employee Group Life Insurance, the Globe Ordinary Life Insurance Proposal, and the Globe TERM Life Insurance Proposal are all available to print. When you select your desired form or forms, it will appear with an Annual or Monthly detailed report, depending on what you select, for your client to have an idea as to if they are on track for his or her desired retirement.

HOW TO PRESENT Now that you have a general understanding of the GLIMPSE program, let’s talk about how to use these reports when presenting to your [prospect, eligible employee, client].

PRINT HOW TO PRESENT Cover Page Applicable Reports
The first thing you need to do once you have all your [prospect, eligible employee, client] information input into GLIMPSE is print out a cover page and the corresponding reports that directly impact the prospect you are meeting with.

REVIEW HOW TO PRESENT Reports
Once you have all the reports printed, take the time to review each report to make sure you fully understand what the data is telling you. Understanding the reports will help build your credibility as you walk through the information with your prospect.

THE MEETING HOW TO PRESENT Clean reports Laptop
When you go to present the potential insurance plans to your prospect, make sure the reports are clean and wrinkle free. Also, be sure to bring you laptop. As we stated earlier, because GLIMPSE is installed on your computer, you can access the program in government buildings with internet jammers in place. This will allow you and your prospect to generate new reports based on changes in preferred coverage you discuss at the meeting.
