Once the client has sampled all of the items that he is willing to sample, place one of each item on the table in an arched array and instruct the client to “pick one.” The purpose of the arched array is to be sure all of the items are within equal distance to the client at the start of the session. Notice in the clip that when the client chooses an item, the therapist records the client’s choice on her data sheet.
