2 Versus Who, When, and Where
It was the last battle in the 2nd Triumvirate, between the armies of Mark Antony and Octavian and the armies of Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus. The battle was located at Philippi in Macedonia around 42 BC. Versus Gaius Cassius Longinus

3 Who Won? Marc Antony ordered a surprise attack to storm Cassius' camp. They were successful, and Cassius, thinking that all was lost, committed suicide, Marc Antony and Octavian were able to persuade Brutus into a battle that he should not have accepted and Brutus lost and committed suicide, instead of being captured.

4 Interesting Facts Octavian was not smart when it came to military but he had a talent for putting himself around with wise men, who were loyal to him. Many senators were killed at the Battle of Philippi and when they died another portion of the republic was gone
