2 ENERGY Energy is defined as the capacity of performing changes
It allows almost everything in the Universe to happen

3 Nuclear Fission Energy
NON - RENEWABLE ENERGY By non-renewable energy we mean those kinds of limited sources of energy that can not be replaced when they are completely used up. Oil Coal Natural Gas Nuclear Fission Energy

4 OIL Advantages: It is easy to manage and its use is well organized.
Disadvantages: It contaminates when is produced, transported or used. It releases CO2 It causes acid rain

5 COAL Advantages: Deposits are usually on the surface which makes it easy to remove and transport Disadvantages: Its extraction generates a significant degradation of the landscape It produces too much CO2 It causes acid rain

6 NATURAL GAS Advantages: It doesn’t produce acid rain Disadvantages:
High installation cost High CO2 emissions and fuel consumption

7 NUCLEAR ENERGY Advantages: High energetic output.
Low atmospheric contamination. Disadvantages: Radiactive residuals. Detailed protocol program is required. An accident may have terrible consequences.

8 RENEWABLE ENERGIES They are energies which are constantly renewed. It doesn’t mind what they are used far, and they always keep the same level of energy. Solar Wind Minihydraulic Tidal wave Geothermal Biomass

9 SOLAR Advantages: It does not use petrol
It does not produce much residuals CO2 emission and enviromental impact are reduced The sun is free Disadvantages: The location must be in a place with high solar radiation Less developed than other systems It is dangerous because of the high temperatures it reaches

10 WIND Advantages: It does not produce pollution
It is a safe and renewable source of energy It doesn’t release CO2 emissions and it doesn’t generate residues Disadvantages: It depends on atmospheric conditions The transformation towers modify the landscape and produce a high level of acoustic contamination A lot of birds die when they crashed into the windmill spades

11 WAVE ENERGY Advantages: Low level of pollution
It is avaliable in any climate and epoch of the year Disadvantages: Visual impact on the coastal landscape Punctual location High cost

12 MINIHYDRAULIC Advantages:
It is a renewable and clean energy that even works at night Low cost. It doesn’t use fuel Disadvantages: Landscape must be modified Need of flooding a large extension of land that forces people to move from their home

13 GEOTHERMAL ENERGY Advantages: No acoustic contamination
This energy doesn’t produce too much residuals This system allows us to save a lot of money Disadvantages: Water is contaminated with substances as ammonia and arsenic It produces thermal pollution This energy damages landscape

14 BIOMASS Advantages: You can use biomass fuel for a lot things
The CO2 released in biomass’combustion has been previously fixed in plant growth, with a very favorable balance Disadvantages: The plant construction causes alterations in the natural environment Getting a good energy supply needs a large amount of biomass
