2. Guidance to care staff following ‘999’ call
Please collect the patients notes/care plan and have ready to show the ambulance crew when they arrive. This should include : Details about the patient including past medical history and any current/recent issues
List of medications (MAR sheet)
DNACPR
Any Advance Care Plan/My Care Wishes Folder/Preferred Priorities of Care/Advance Directive/DoLS
Be prepared for their arrival by opening the front door to the building or having someone waiting for the crew where possible. If alone in the building please listen for the door bell.
Have a member of staff that has knowledge of the client available to meet the crew.
Thank you for you help in this matter as this greatly assists the crew and ensures we are able to provide your client with the best care possible.
