2 Clyde Outside magazine
The Clyde Outside is the student magazine of Glasgow Clyde College. Our website offers news, original features, opinions and sport. We have an established audience of 1.7K people.

3 Award-winning team Our team is formed of the students who were winners and runner-ups in four categories of the Scottish Student Journalists Awards 2018: Runner-up for Best Student Publication, Runner-up for Best Student Website, Valentina Servera shortlisted for Best Student Journalist, Sara Lovallo and David King winners of the Calum McDonald Memorial Award for Excellence in Journalism.

4 The website audience Our typical reader is a young person, currently studying in Glasgow, with a strong interest in entertainment and who is ready to get involved with social issues. They are someone who likes being in the know and who receives the news through their social media feed or from newspaper app notifications (likely Sky News and the BBC).

5 The website analytics Between January and June 2018 we have registered an average of over 1.7K views per month. Our reach tripled from the previous six months. Compared to the period between July and December 2017, our total views tripled, just like our monthly and daily views average.

6 The Pattern - Print magazine
The Clyde Outside produces a yearly magazine in collaboration with the Paisley Daily Express. The Pattern won Best Student Publication of the Year at the SSJA The magazine covers Paisley and the surrounding areas of Renfrewshire.

7 The Pattern target audience
Our typical reader is a mother in her 40s. She works part time in customer service and stays home in the weekends. She has two kids: a 19-year-old girl who goes to university and a 11-year-old boy in high school. Her husband is a blue-collar worker in his late 40s. Our readers are interested in local events, new clubs and restaurants, dancing classes, gardening and social activities. They are artsy people, interested in music and paintings, as well as festivals and theatre.

8 Distribution Paisley Daily Express data
The Pattern is distributed with the Paisley Daily Express as an insert to the newspaper. It is also independently distributed in colleges and local venues in Paisley. Paisley Daily Express data Average circulation per day: 4,500 Reader’s age: 25+ The Daily Express is currently one of the most successful regional daily publications in the UK with one of the lowest YoY circulation decrease.

9 Social Media We have quickly expanded our social media reach and currently we count over 1K followers on Facebook. On Instagram our average post receives 100 views and we have approximately 200 followers on Twitter. @clydeoutside
