2 Texas North Transmission Improvements
Most of these projects are proposed for budget All have summer 2010 ISDs. Projects are: Hitchland 345/230/115 kV interchange - cuts the 115 kV lines that go into Texas County Intg. in and out of this new source and provides 230 kV source as well. 230 kV lines from Hitchland to Moore Co Hitchland to Pringle Hitchland to Prairie 115 kV lines from Dallam to Sherman Co Intg. Dalhart to Channing - ultimate rebuild all the way to Amarillo for this old 69 kV line Not included in proposed capital budget was the Prairie- Cole 115 kV line

3 Hobbs Generating Plant Interconnection Facility
Hobbs Plant - real name Lea Power Partners Plant - nominal 500 MW combined cycle plant. Consists of 2 GTs and 1 ST - design was to place the GTs on 115 kV and the steam turbine Lines around plant at 115 kV were connected in and out of new plant bus. Expedient method of interconnection. Steam unit is connected to 230 kV lines. Proposed ISD is June 2008

4 Channing Transmission Project
More detail on Channing project - will build 115 kV from Dalhart to Channing at 115 kV, then conversion of 69 kV from Channing to Amarillo. Proposed ISD is June 2010.

5 Line from new Hobbs Generating Station to Seminole Exchange
This transmission project connects the Mustang Plant ( GSEC’s plant) to a new transmission interchange, called Seminole Intg. and then on to the new Lea Power Partners Plant. First segment (Mustang-Seminole) is to be complete by late 2009 or 2010, Seminole-Hobbs complete by 2011.

6 Full X – PLAN (proposed)
The western half of the X-Plan is shown in orange or yellow. The purple is the eastern half of the X. The western half is needed by GSEC to import their power purchase from the Sunflower’s Holcomb coal fired plant development. SPS believes the western half of the X-Plan and the interla improvements, the Potter-Roosevelt 345 kV line and the Tolk-Tuco 345 kV line can be built by spring 2012.

7 7 Rivers to Potash Transmission Line
This is a 230 kV transmission project that will improve the reliability in southeastern New Mexico. It will go from the 230 kV bus at Seven Rivers to Carlsbad ( called Pecos Intg.) and on to Potash Junction. Proposed Isd is on or before summer 2009.

8 Transformer Upgrades These are budgeted transformer upgrades and current ISDs but may change should deliveries of transformers change.
