What is development? 09/11/2018 Do Now: What can you see in this image? Likely perceptions are that this is an African nation, people are at school. Notice the young boy on the right – how is he different to the others and why? Tease out differeces through quick discussion. Lesson objective: To understand what the term development means and why it is important

2 Compare this image to the previous one, what is different?
Comparing the images – students should be able to identify the difference in building, ICT, and that this is in a more developed nation such as the UK/USA some may consider further abroad such as Korea due to abundance of ICT. Can we make any assumptions about where the two images were taken?
