Educating the public is always a crucial part of research going beyond the realm of theoretical. Inspiring STEM students should be a priority because investing is kids is always worthwhile. Plus, think of the new hires! If your funding sources have a clear picture (literally) of your success, the benefits might include continued and/or increased funding!
