Already, Egyptians and Romans offered colored eggs in the spring because they were the symbol of life and rebirth. In Christian countries, Easter egg is the favorite gift on Easter Day, since Holy Thursday, the bells are silent, a sign of mourning. They say they left for Rome, they come back on Easter eggs by bringing them to sow their passage. The Easter bells bring the Easter eggs. Eggs and bells are ancient symbols. On Easter morning, ringing bells announce back in joy, and spread on their return the eggs in the gardens.           The children will then get them. For the trip, the bells provide themselves with a pair of wings, ribbons or are carried on a chariot.

5 THE BELLS The legend, in some Catholic countries and particularly in France, says that on the evening of Holy Thursday, they go to Rome where the pope blessed them. In Christian countries, Easter egg is the favorite gift on Easter Sunday. For Maundy Thursday, the bells are silent, a sign of mourning.
