Specials:
This year has been filled with energy, fun, and learning. We approach the end of the year with pride and respect for the social and academic growth of each student. We truly had a family of learners and friends that showed great care for one another. The children displayed an enormous curiosity and enthusiasm for learning that led to many different learning discoveries. Thank you for trusting the Kindergarten Team to guide, motivate, and teach your child. We hope he/she has learned as much from us as we have from him/her. We will be watching their progress in the years to come. We have discovered so many things and we need to thank you all once again for your willingness to volunteer your time and talents towards our learning.

Upcoming Events
Please read to your child over the summer and have your child read to you. Provide your child with a journal notebook so he/she can continue to write about his/her experiences. Practice the sight words we learned this year as well as addition and subtraction of numbers to ten.
June 7- 8:00 am Closing Ceremony (Kindergarten Graduation) Dress is similar to the Strings Concert(see school dress code for details.)
Our last full day of school (i.e. 7:30-2:40) is on Tuesday, June 6th.
We recently had visitors from the Fredricksen Library come to tell us about their summer program. The 8th graders are holding a carnival for EC/LS students on Monday, June 5th. This is a student only activity. It will be a busy and fun last six days of Kindergarten!
To Remember
Transition To First Grade: we’ve been talking with your children about the responsibilities they will have next year wherever they go to school. Ask them what we’ve been practicing and what they’ll be responsible for next year. We were able to read with some First Graders this week as well which was super fun to see where we’ll be next year!
We look forward to seeing you at the Closing Ceremonies on Wednesday, June 7th. Students should meet their teachers in the classroom at 7:50AM. The program begins at 8:00AM in the gymnasium. Children will be dismissed to their parents following the program. There will be refreshments in the Gallery afterwards.
