Linking schools to Clubs/Association and converting program participants into life long lovers of hockey. Mobilising volunteers, advocates and building a network of coaches to assist in growing the game.

Conducting benchmark activities such as the Centre of Development & Athlete Acceleration Program. Producing Individual Player Plans for all participates of those programs. Engaging local coaches to assist in delivering programs.

GROW THE GAME The Regional Coaching Coordinator – Critical to the business Coach Development – Create a pool of coaches to assist in delivering programs. Coordinate and deliver Level 1 Coaching Courses. Facilitate the delivery of Level 2 and Advanced courses. Assist Association and Club coaches with State Championship preparations. Identify “Coach Developers” within each Association.

Maintain a high presence in schools with a particular focus on All Girl Schools Identify and develop appropriate coaches for the school environment Sporting Schools programs to culminate in an event All schools to be allocated a Club as their local Hockey Supporter Association and/or Clubs to be assisted in building a relationship with schools by HNSW Converting Sporting Schools to Registrations

Identify, evaluate and accredit all current coaches that are not on the Coaching Pathway i.e. HockeyEd Identify and build the capacity of a “Coach Developer” in each Association and/or Club Emphasise the importance of “General Principles of Community Coaching” Award two Junior Coach Scholarships, 1 female and 1 male per Region Coach Development

It is a softer & safer ball, reducing risk of injury and apprehension of playing Improves technique on dribbling, push passing and hitting It is being used at COD, AAP in game situations and for Goal Keeping drills The Kookaburra’s are using the Joey Ball for PCD practice as it is the safer option
