2. Sudan is in northeastem Africa.
There are many countries in Africa.
Most of the people are poor and uneducated .there are many civil wars among the people.

3. Khartoum The capital of the country.
In 1973 the city was a site of a hostage crisis where members at the Black September held 10 hostages at the Savdi Embassy. Five of them were diplomats. The us Ambassador, & the Belgiar Charge were murdered. The rest were released.

4. The climate of the country.
Tropics , from aridi in the north to tropical wetland – dry in the far southwest. temperatures do not vary greatly with the season at any location , They are warm.
The temperatures are very warm. You could swim year round .

5. History 1899- 1955 – Sudan ruled by the Anglo-Egyptian condominium.
1955- is when the Sudenese civil war began.
1983- second civil war begins.
1978- oil was discovered.
1999- oil began to be exported.
The people of Sudan have been fighting civil wars for many years Children are trained to be soldiers at an early age and fight in battles

6. NATURAL RESOURCES
Petroleum is the biggest natural resource. There are small reserves of iron ore, chromium ore, zinc, mica, silver and gold.

Customs
The Eid al- Fitr, or Breaking of the Ramadan Fast, is a joyous occasion and involves a larger Family meal.

9. LIFE STYLE
The odds of dying in Sudan are higher than completing elementary schools.
They are short on food and water.
Arabic is the official language but there are more than 100 tribal language.
Many men leave their families each year to work as labourers in cities, or work commerical farms , or overseas.
