Annual Review of Program Biennially Documentation of Contact Removed Process still required Annual Training Biennially Additional Training if Significant Changes Functional Exercise ≠ “boots on the ground” Exercises – 2 per year - 1 = Exercise of Choice Community Full-Scale Exercise Facility Functional Exercise Drill – Table Top – Workshop No real relief for Biennially review since still requires that program/plan be evaluated at each test and revise the hospital's emergency plan, as needed.

Region 5 – Michigan Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering(MiSHE) Pier-George Zanoni, PE Draft 7 of the proposed Michigan healthcare licensing rules which includes adoption of the 2018 FGI is out for review. The rules will be open for general public comment soon, with likely final adoption not until 2019. Michigan adoption of 2018 FGI public review soon, likely to be finalized mid 2019 Started MISHE Advocacy subcommittee to assist advocacy efforts coordinated by the ASHE advocate. (subcommittee was in the bylaws but not active) Started advocacy subcommittee to assist advocacy liaison efforts

Region 5 – Michigan - Continued Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering(MiSHE) Pier-George Zanoni, PE MISHE is working to attract more nursing home facility managers for membership. There has been a slow steady growth of NH MISHE members (still a small percentage – less than 5%) but growing particularly amongst larger nursing home facilities and NH systems. Working to increase nursing home facility manager membership in MISHE Sharing information with NH Under the same fire safety code regulations and face the same problems
