How this works Student files the FAFSA
Financial Aid Office receives FAFSA Student send us info we request (if any) Financial Aid Office mails first-timers award letters (revisions are ed) Bursar’s Office sends billing statements

How this works Financial Aid Office memo’s (credits) financial aid to accounts Student accepts loans as needed Parent applies for loans as needed Student pays fees/sets up payment plan Financial Aid Office disburses aid Bursar’s Office issues refund checks Students attend class. All of them.

What we expect Let us know of significant changes in income or household size Read and respond to Read financial aid policies Tell us about outside scholarships & waivers Ask us before you drop a class

Fee Deadline Every student must either make payment arrangements or have enough financial aid to cover fees by 5:00PM August 22nd. Students who do not have arrangements by 5:00PM will be administratively dropped from their classes.

TouchNet Through Banner Self-Service
TouchNet offers various options for you to manage payments, refunds, deposits, authorized users etc.

Payment Plan Four Part Payment Plan – each payment is ¼ of the balance due. The first payment will be one fourth of the balance due, plus a $30 deferment fee The 2nd, 3rd and 4th payments are due the 15th of September, October, and November The student has to set up an authorized user if they want the parent to have access to their account

Excess Financial Aid funds can be placed on Skyhawk Card to use at UTM Bookstore and Computer Store No interest or fees Book Loan Up to $750 Can obtain estimate from UTM Bookstore to increase amount Computer Loan Up to $1,250 Can obtain estimate from UTM Computer Store to increase amount

How to Make Skyhawk Card Deposits
