At Rise: The stage is dark. Slowly the lights fade up on the cyclorama revealing the rooftops of Amsterdam and the belfry tower. It is late afternoon November, 1945. The cyclorama is a cloth stretched tight in an arc around the back of a stage set, often used to depict the sky.
