Hitler discovered that the party's political ideas were similar to his own - he approved of Drexler's German nationalism and semitism. Hitler stood up for his beliefs, gaining the respect and obedience of other members of the group. Socialist ideas usually stood up for equality among gender and races, and that was not at all what Hitler wanted. Though he had a strong opinion on the subject, Hitler only believed in equality for those with “German blood” . Therefore, Jews and anyone who did not think like him were “aliens.”
