Some subjects may examine this year at the SL level (ITGS, Geography, Math Studies, Visual Arts)

First formal year of the IB Diploma
Fewer electives
Most courses are now key to the Diploma
Grading scales become increasingly linked to IB rubrics
Assignments that will be sent to IB for external examination or moderation occur this year

First year of having 4U credits attached to courses – university implications
And, they are still teenagers!

5. Table of equivalence
All schools in Ontario use the IBSO Table of Equivalence to represent IB grades as percentage grades on report cards
It has the following ranges:
7 = = 61-71
6 = = 50-60
5 = = Failing Grade
4 = 72-83

Traditional grading methods are not applicable with IB rubrics
