He that intends to perform it in those months must abstain from…obscene language, and [angry] disputes while on the pilgrimage. God is aware of whatever good you do. Provide well for yourselves… To be charitable in public is good, but to give alms [gifts of charity] to the poor in private is better and will atone for some of your sins. God has knowledge of all your actions
