What They Are and How to Manage Them Definition Input prompt in process Most common Scheduler is prompted for input during processing Other causes Debug Unopened file error Other program errors UNIX process died but the process thinks it is still running There is only one real reason for an aborted job You have gotten an input prompt somewhere in the process Having said that, jobs can abort for catastrophic reasons as well such as: A debug left in the code or the process run by PSI user and the code is debug conditioned for PSI An unopened file or other error that would cause the process to abort if run manually as well The UNIX process (where applicable) died but the process thinks it is still running
